The "Exlab" Expert Analytical Laboratory

The "Exlab" Expert Analytical Laboratory is a branch of Armenian Scientific Centre of Drugs and Medicinal Technology Expertise, founded in 1993 with an aim to control the quality of drugs produced, registered and/or imported to the Republic Armenia.
The "Exlab" is a state-of the-art laboratory fitted with modern equipment and a top quality staff. In 2003, the "Exlab" received an ISO 9001-2000 certificate from the Swedish SGS company.
Apart from controlling the quality of drugs, the "Exlab" is currently competent to carry out quality control analyses in the following areas:
- honey (by FDA)
- doping control (2004 Georgia's Olympic team)
- pharmacokinetics and bioequivalence
- alcoholic drinks
- determination of antibiotics, vitamins, pesticides, amino acids, amines, metals and many other compounds in different food stuff, such as juices, milk, meat, seafood, fish, candy, mineral water, etc.
- microbiological analysis
The "Exlab" is included in the analytical proficiency testing scheme of the WHO Expert Committee and the International Pharmaceutical Federation on Specifications for Pharmaceutical Preparations.
